Job summary

Oatey, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Mixer to produce batch mixes per established formulations while ensuring safety, quality and production goals are met daily. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to procedures and active participation in Lean events and 6S practices.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, material verification, record keeping, and supporting multiple lines. Prior manufacturing experience and HazMat training are valued for success in this fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred with advanced mathematics and/or science background.
• Safety oriented with HazMat training.
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders and PPE requirements.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Respirator fit test required upon hire.
• 24-hour HAZMAT training upon hire, and 8-hour HAZMAT annually.
• Compounding, quality or science education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes mixing tasks on a rotational basis as assigned by the supervisor/team leader of the department.
• Perform minor equipment set-up and adjustments; operate all necessary mixing and testing equipment.
• Gather and verify all raw materials for each batch mix per the double check sheet.
• Follow standard operating procedures to make required batch mixes.
• Maintain mixes for all lines while performing other duties assigned by department.
• Complete required documentation and production records and data entry as required.
• Substitute and back-up production line positions if necessary.
• Maximize flow of communication between shifts.
