Job summary

School of Rock Wake Forest is seeking a Bass Instructor to lead private lessons and ensemble rehearsals, delivering a dynamic, performance-based music education experience. You will design lessons that challenge students and foster both musical skill and confidence.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years teaching or performing, solid music theory knowledge, strong organizational and customer-relations abilities, and a passion for mentoring young musicians within our community.

Qualifications

3+ years of teaching or performing music professionally.
Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
Excellent ability to deal with a wide range of customers and people.
Strong organizational skills.
Very strong customer relations skills.
Resourceful and good problem-solver.
Works well under pressure.
Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal training.
Enthusiastic, flexible, patient and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

Teach private lessons and group rehearsals with a focus on performance-based education.
Create and document thoughtful lesson plans to challenge students.
Communicate regularly with parents on progress and maintain visibility in the school.
Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
Adhere to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
