Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student eligible to participate in the university’s work-study program.
• Basic understanding of basketball rules, scoring procedures, fouls, substitutions, timeouts, and game timing.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, concentration, and the ability to remain focused throughout the game.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and available to work evenings, weekends, and scheduled home games.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with officials, coaches, athletics staff, and other score-table personnel.
• Previous experience with scorekeeping, game clocks, shot clocks, statistics, or athletic event operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled game to prepare the score table, equipment, rosters, and game documents.
• Operate the official game clock, shot clock, scoreboard, possession indicator, or other assigned score-table equipment.
• Accurately record points, fouls, substitutions, timeouts, player points
