The position reports to the Athletic & Fitness Director within the Athletics department. It requires basic basketball knowledge, reliability, and the ability to stay focused while seated for game durations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of basketball rules and scoring.
• Prior experience in scorekeeping or clock operation is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Availability to work late evenings and possible weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate the game clock and shot clock during basketball games.
• Record and maintain the official scorebook with points, fouls, timeouts, and substitutions.
• Ensure accuracy of recorded game details for referees and officials.
• Communicate effectively with referees and staff to verify calls and resolve discrepancies.
• Check equipment functionality before games and assist in post-game cleanup.
