Job summary

YMCA is seeking a part-time Basketball Referee in Flemington, NJ to officiate 4v4 adult league games on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This role offers an hourly wage of $18-$22 and a chance to contribute to the local community through the YMCA's programs.

You will enforce rules, ensure fair play, and communicate clearly with players and staff, while enjoying a flexible schedule and a welcoming team at the Y.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Must have strong basketball knowledge.
• Confidence making calls, and the ability to handle competitive adult league environments.
• Previous officiating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Officiate 4v4 full-court adult basketball games in a professional, fair, and consistent manner.
• Enforcing league rules, managing game flow, tracking fouls and violations, maintaining player safety, and ensuring good sportsmanship throughout competition.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with players, coaches, and league staff while keeping games organized and on schedule.
