Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking enthusiastic, dependable After-School Basketball or Soccer Coaches to lead fun programs for elementary-aged students in Adelphi, MD. The role is part-time, after-school, with 1.5-hour sessions and a $37.50 per session rate ($25 per hour).

In this in-person position, you’ll implement a structured curriculum, work Monday through Friday, and help students develop athletic skills, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching basketball or soccer is appreciated but not required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Must complete Prince George's County background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging basketball or soccer sessions for elementary students.
• Teach age-appropriate fundamentals and skills.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and positive behavior.
• Follow BBA's curriculum and activities.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students.
• Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.

• Must successfully complete the required Prince George#39;s County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process
