Job summary

Fanatics is seeking an Editor for Basketball in New York, NY. This on-site, full-time role supports end-to-end editorial for trading card projects, working with Editorial leadership, Product Development, Art, and production partners to deliver accurate and compelling products.

The role combines content development, photography selection, and subject-list management with basketball knowledge, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Basketball and ability to identify players.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with CMS/workflow systems.

Responsibilities

• Select, assign, and crop photography aligned with product design and brand standards.
• Coordinate text- and statistics-based card-back content for trading cards.
• Build and update subject lists with Product Development.
• Review editorial content, proofs, and layouts for accuracy.
• Apply licensor style guides and internal quality standards.
• Identify photography acquisition needs and communicate requests for production schedules.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners throughout production and correction processes.
