Job summary

The YMCA in Shoreview and White Bear Lake is looking for an experienced Basketball Coach to lead sports classes and coaching leagues in the evenings and on weekends. This is a part-time position paying $16.50 per hour, with opportunities to support programs across two locations.

You will implement curriculum, ensure safe, enjoyable experiences for participants, and lead practices and games, while maintaining equipment and upholding YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Coaching at any level with 2+ years preferred.
• Ability to complete concussion training within 30 days.
• Self-directed, motivated, dependable and organized.
• Strong communication and mediation with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Set up and lead team sports activities including all classes, practices and games.
• Lead special programs and activities as required.
• Attend all coach meetings and communicate information to players.
• Adhere to YMCA policies and emergency procedures; complete reports as needed.
• Maintain equipment and model good sportsmanship for all participants.
