Job summary

HCI Sports & Fitness in Bee Cave, TX is seeking knowledgeable Basketball Coaches to lead youth camps and clinics for ages 3–14. The role includes greeting families, delivering high-energy sessions, and assisting with planning and setup.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of youth coaching or related experience, strong basketball knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Part-time, with Tue/Thu evenings and Sat mornings available.

Qualifications

• Two years of youth sports coaching or comparable experience with children ages 3–14.
• Solid knowledge of basketball fundamentals and game concepts.
• Experience organizing and leading training sessions for kids.
• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication with participants and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead youth camps and clinics for ages 3 to 14.
• Greet participants, parents, and guests.
• Maintain high-energy, safe, and enjoyable training sessions.
• Collaborate on session planning and logistics.
• Help with setup and cleanup before/after programs.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Support clinics on Tue/Thu evenings and Sat mornings.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

• Leading youth camps and clinics for ages 3 to 14
• Greeting and welcoming participants, parents, and guests
• Ensuring training sessions are high energy, fun, safe, and creating a positive overall experience for participants
• Some collaboration for the planning of sessions
• Assisting with organizing, setting up, and cleaning up before and after programs
• Participating in staff meetings

What makes you a great fit:

• An enthusiastic, energetic, and positive personality!
• At least two years of youth sports coaching experience, or comparable experience working with children in a school or childcare setting, preferably with ages 3–8
• Knowledge of basketball, including technical aspects
• Experience organizing training sessions for children
• Professional demeanor and presentation
• The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and respond appropriately to children and adults both in person and in electronic communication
• A strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
• Availability to coach clinics on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, with typical hours of 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays
• Availability to coach camps on select out-of-school days between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
