Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking a replacement coach at Thornton, CO. The role requires supervising students, enforcing CHSAA and district rules, and promoting safety. Coaches must hold a current AED/CPR certificate; assistant coaches should have First Aid/CPR or be willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Hold a current AED/CPR certificate upon hire.
• Assistant coaches must hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• All coaches must be a CDE licensed teacher or CHSAA coaches registration upon hire.
• All coaches must pass CHSAA annual Coaches Exam.
• All Colorado coaches must hold concussion certification from NFHS or Children's Colorado upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and enforce district, school league and CHSAA rules.
• Plan, organize and successfully direct the specific sport.
• Promote and follow Board policies and building procedures.
• Teach advanced techniques in the sport and ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students and diverse backgrounds.
