Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Schedule based on clinic needs, 8am - 8pm, 8am - 5pm

Location: Floating within assigned travel area, based in Maitland

The role you'll contribute:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of Providers, the Basic X-Ray Machine Operator cares for patients and performs a variety of activities including laboratory testing and radiographic exams. Adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Maintains organization and facilitates patient flow, actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships with all.

• Creates and owns the patient experience by driving customer service initiatives.
• Performs basic radiological examinations, quality controls, and clerical duties. Processes reference laboratory specimens, including venipuncture, specimen handling, labeling, and tracking results.
• Documents and reports all procedures and assessments clearly and accurately, following department policies.
• Assesses patients during clinical check-in using age-specific guidelines, documents medical information and vital signs, and monitors for signs of abuse or neglect.
• Completes general orders and follow-up assessments, verifying as needed, and responds appropriately in emergencies and triage situations.
• Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing such as EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, and pulse oximetry. Conducts forensic testing in accordance with DOT and Florida Drug-Free Workplace Guidelines, including urine drug screens, blood/breath alcohol tests, oral fluids, and hair testing.
• Completes check-out duties, relays instructions/care to patients, and performs required Quality Control checklists to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator
• Urgent care or Emergency Department experience
• BCPR - Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation
• Continued maintenance of Drug Screen Certification after hire
