Job summary

The New York Mets seek a Communications Associate to support the Communications Department with baseball media focus. You will aid in media operations, assist players and media, and help ensure timely, high-quality communications.

This role offers exposure to diverse activities across writing and media distribution. Ideal candidates will have strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to work nights and weekends per the Mets schedule, with opportunities to learn

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Sports Administration/Management, or related field.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Availability to work nights and weekends, as assigned, based on Mets schedule.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support player and media interactions, including interviews and press conferences.
• Assist with setup and operation of press areas for home games.
• Distribute postgame notes and provide research support to media members.
• Assist with press conferences, including facilitating reporter access.
• Contribute to daily game notes and development of the Media Guide.
• Support writing/editing for Mets Magazine and Year in Review publications.
• Draft and edit press releases and perform media analysis.
