Baseball Grounds Crew Member (Operations) - Part-time at Tsongas Center

Join us as a Baseball Grounds Crew Member (Operations) - Part-time at Oak View Group.

Position Overview: As a Grounds Crew Member, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the field for games and events, ensuring optimal playing surface conditions, managing field equipment, and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Edge and trim the outfield, infield, and warning tracks.
• Maintain and groom the pitching mound, batter's box, and base paths.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed.
• Clean and repair field equipment.
• Handle irrigation systems to maintain proper moisture levels.
• Remove debris and ensure the field is hazard-free.
• Prepare the field for games, including setting up bases and pitching mounds.
• Perform repairs and adjustments during games.
• Operate and maintain field maintenance equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping or turf management preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of field maintenance techniques and equipment.
• Ability to operate machinery and tools.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; turf management certifications are a plus.

Additional Details

Pay rate: $18.75/hr. Benefits include 401(k) and matching. This is an ongoing application process with no deadline. The role may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, primarily outdoors.
