Job summary

The Durham Bulls Baseball Club is seeking a dependable Grounds Crew member to maintain the DBAP and DAP fields, ensuring safe and professional playing environments for players and guests. You will work both independently and with the team, handling setup, field prep, and on-game maintenance under varied weather.

This physically demanding role requires early mornings, long hours on game days, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Team-oriented and dependable with a positive work attitude.
Strong communication with teammates, supervisors, and guests.
Able to follow established procedures and take instruction.
Physically able to perform outdoor field work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Set up and break down batting practice equipment.
Prepare game fields, including dragging, watering, and maintaining the infield before and during games.
Sweep and water pitcher’s mounds and home plate areas; clean and wash bases.
Assist with placing, covering, and removing the field tarp as weather conditions require.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, equipment, and tools.
Perform in-game field maintenance and complete quick repairs or adjustments as needed.
Support additional field maintenance projects as directed.
Work cooperatively with fellow grounds crew members and other Durham Bulls team members
