Job summary

Shepherd Independent School District is seeking an ISS/BASE Paraprofessional to support students in an in-school suspension setting and to assist with behavior management under a certified teacher’s supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or two years of college coursework preferred.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and model replacement behaviors from the student’s behavior plan.
• Provide instruction and role-play for replacement behaviors identified in the plan.
• Monitor students and document behaviors on BASE sheets.
• Maintain communication with teachers, staff, admins and parents to support behavioral outcomes.
