Job summary

Tessera is seeking a dependable Laborer to support the Base Maintenance Contract at USAFA. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the installation, performing material handling, refuse collection, snow removal, and general facility support.

Typical duties include assisting skilled trades, heavy lifting, site prep, and responding to work orders. A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of general labor or maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience working on military installations or government contracts is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and manual labor techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades personnel with tools, materials, and basic tasks.
• Perform general maintenance such as cleaning, debris removal, and site preparation.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and supplies across the installation.
• Operate basic hand tools and power equipment under supervision.
• Load and unload trucks and other conveyances; move supplies and materials.
• Maintain work areas in clean and orderly condition.
