Job summary

Brunswick's Base Engine team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, seeks a senior engineer to enhance current product quality and warranty. You will perform root cause analysis, design or process improvements, and drive those issues to resolution in production.

The role requires a BS Mechanical Engineering with 10 years in engine design, DFSS experience, and knowledge of casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, balancing, and assembly.

Qualifications

• BSME with 10 years of experience in engine design or related field.
• Experience using DFSS problem solving tools.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, balancing, and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Investigate issues and determine best path of resolution from multiple ideas.
• Estimate costs and benefits and execute validation plans for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive changes.
• Lead planning, mechanical design, analysis, and production release activities to meet requirements.
• Challenge legacy solutions and introduce manufacturable designs.
• Contribute to diverse thinking to enable innovative solutions.
