Job summary

Vail Resorts in California seeks staff for winter seasonal roles in base area operations to deliver a superior arrival experience. You may move wagons, assist parking, and support grounds maintenance at the base of the resort, including snow removal during winter.

Roles include full and part-time shifts with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour. This seasonal program emphasizes safety, teamwork, and exceptional guest service throughout the resort environment.

As the Base Area Operator – Village Support, you will perform critical operations in thebase area to deliver an incredible arrival experience for our guests. It is a greatopportunity to perform a variety of different work through the day ensuring great serviceand smooth operations of the resort.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
• Minimum Age: At least 16 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in all base area operations which may include and is not limited to movingwagons, parking, scanning, or grounds maintenance at the base of the resort(inclusive of snow removal in the winter).
• Act as a flexible labor force for various projects and events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Comfortable working both inside and outside in seasonal environments.
• Ability to lift 50 Lb. (22.6 Kg.)
• Ability to work standing on your feet and performing physical work consistently.

A Base Area Operator team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality which could include one of the following:

• Guest Services – Moving Wagons
• Mountain Activities – Ice Rink
• Parking

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
