Vail Resorts is hiring for winter 2026/27 for roles including Lead Base Area Operator. This position supports base area operations, delivering a premier arrival experience and smooth resort functioning in outdoor winter conditions.

Starting wage ranges from $23.00 to $26.88 per hour, with full-time winter seasonal hours. Applicants must be 18+, able to lift 50 lb, and work weekends/holidays. Housing is not provided; roles are onsite at the base area.

Job Summary

As a Lead Base Area Operator , you will perform critical operations in the base area to deliver an incredible arrival experience. It is a great opportunity to perform a variety of different work through the day ensuring great service and smooth operations of the resort.

The expected pay range is$23.00/hr - $26.88/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
