Job summary

Divcon Controls in Irving, Texas seeks a Senior Project Manager to drive complex building automation projects from planning through delivery. You will lead multi-site initiatives, coordinate engineers and field teams, and report progress to executives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction project or program management (BAS or MEP preferred).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams on high-value, multi-phase projects.
• Deep knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, electrical and commissioning systems.
• Strong business acumen with experience in financial oversight, reporting and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management from technicians to executives.
• Proficient in Procore and MS Project; able to manage budgets and schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification within the past two years; training to be completed if not current.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution across multiple BAS construction projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and client requirements.
• Direct and mentor project teams, including field staff, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Own project portfolio performance — scope, budget, schedule, and quality — and deliver monthly financial and milestone reporting to senior executives.
• Oversee all contract documentation, change order management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate closely with clients to build trust, manage expectations, and serve as primary point of escalation.
• Evaluate and approve engineering designs, technical submittals, and BoMs for compliance and efficiency.
• Mitigate risk through proactive planning, forecasting, and issue resolution; standardize best practices across projects to drive efficiency and quality in delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Divcon’s internal systems (e.g., DivPro), safety standards, and project documentation protocols.

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex building automation projects across multiple sites, driving strategy, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder engagement from planning to final delivery.

This role goes beyond project execution — it requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in construction management, BAS/HVAC systems, and organizational leadership. You’ll partner closely with clients, engineering teams, and senior leadership to ensure on-time, in-budget delivery that meets the highest technical standards.

• Strong business acumen with experience in financial oversight, reporting, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — from technicians to C-suite.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and financial tools.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required.
• If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel frequently to job sites by car or plane, up to 85%
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout job sites for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and lifts as required
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in tight or confined spaces
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity to handle tools, wiring, and small components
• Ability to work at heights and in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment when required (hard hat, vest, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots)
• Visual keenness to read schematics, labels, and digital displays
• Ability to visually identify and differentiate wires by assigned color
• Ability to hear and respond to alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions
