Job summary

Boyum Barenscheer Wealth Management, LLC. is seeking a BAS Senior Accountant to organize and coordinate client tax data for accurate tax returns and for simple to moderately complex corporate, partnership, and S-Corp returns. The role includes QuickBooks consulting, training, outsourced accounting, and collaboration with other departments.

The position emphasizes timely delivery, client service, and mentoring staff, with hybrid/remote options in the Twin Cities area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in accounting or tax preparation preferred.
• Active CPA licensure preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
• Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepares required tax returns in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
• Provides technical assistance to clients in all areas of accounting.
• Leads client QuickBooks Training.
• Communicates with engagement leaders and clients regarding open items and other pertinent matters in a timely manner.
• Performs tax return interviews with clients as needed.
• Creates, reconciles and ties out trial balances.
• Reviews basic accounting trial balance.
• Trains and mentors staff on simple accounting and tax returns.
• Proactively manages project timelines and budgets.
