Job summary
Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) seeks a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Programmer to join our Controls team on commercial projects. You will program, configure, commission BAS and HVAC control systems using Niagara N4 and related platforms.
You will translate sequences of operation into functional code, perform system verification, startup, and collaborate with Commissioning Agents and field teams to ensure reliable operation and project turnover.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on Building Automation Systems or BAS programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of Niagara N4 and HVAC control sequences.
- Experience programming and commissioning BAS and HVAC systems.
- Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, and building networks.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and control schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and commission BAS and HVAC control systems.
- Develop control programs using Niagara N4 and related platforms.
- Configure points, alarms, schedules, trends, and graphics.
- Translate sequences of operation into functional control logic.
- Perform software updates and system optimization.
- Assist with startup, commissioning, and turnover.
