Job summary

Jobot in San Diego, CA is seeking a controls specialist to install, maintain and commission BAS/BMS systems on commercial sites. The role is 80% field based and you’re provided a company vehicle.

You will work with building automation platforms to ensure reliable operation. You will perform start-up, testing, diagnostics and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to mid-size retrofit projects, driving efficiency and comfort for tenants.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of BAS/BMS or commercial HVAC controls experience
• Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites roughly 80% of the time
• Familiarity with BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell
• Experience with the Siemens Desigo platform

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of BAS/BMS controls
• Conduct start-up, testing, and diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices
• Support small to medium retrofit projects
• Travel to client sites and work in the field approximately 80% of the time

We are a national building automation and energy services provider with private financial backing that provides full-scope building smart building automation to help building owners and managers improve efficiency and reduce operational costs while improving comfort for tenants.

As a controls specialist on our operations or service team, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of BAS/BMS controls. This role will be roughly 80% in the field at customer sites and you will be provided a company vehicle. Responsibilities include performing start-up, checking, testing, system diagnostics, and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium-sized new or retrofit projects.

MUST HAVE:
