Job summary

Jobot is seeking a controls specialist to install, maintain, repair, and commission BAS/BMS systems for diverse commercial projects in the Western US. The role is field-heavy, with about 80% time on-site at client sites and a company vehicle provided.

You will perform start-up, testing, diagnostics, and commissioning from system controllers to end devices across small to medium retrofit or new construction projects. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of BAS/BMS or HVAC controls experience.
• Experience with one or more BAS brands (Schneider, Siemens, JCI, Trane, etc.).
• HVAC controls engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of BAS/BMS controls.
• Field-based role; 80% of time at customer sites; company vehicle provided.
• Start-up, testing, system diagnostics and commissioning from controllers to end devices for small to medium projects.
• Support retrofit and new construction projects.

We are a prominent contractor in the Western United States that specializes in building automation for both new construction and retrofit projects. We offer comprehensive, integrated solution,s including engineering applications, automated control systems, design assistance, sustainable maintenance, and retro-commissioning services.

As a controls specialist on our operations or service team, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of BAS/BMS controls. This role will be roughly 80% in the field at customer sites and you will be provided a company vehicle. Responsibilities include performing start-up, checking, testing, system diagnostics, and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium-sized new or retrofit projects.

Job Details

MUST HAVE:

• 2+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls experience
• HVAC controls engineering experience
• Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, Daikin, or other

NICE TO HAVE:

• Tridium Niagara experience and/or certification
• GUI experience with hardware to support LonWorks, BACnet, and Modbus
• DDC Controls experience
