Arlington County Government, through its Department of Environmental Services, is seeking a Building Automation System (BAS) Controls Technician. The role centers on hands-on maintenance and operation of building automation systems across Arlington County facilities, with field-based responsibilities and a county vehicle for off-site duties.

The position supports commissioning activities, ensures system reliability, and requires flexibility for after-hours work across three shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3 years of building maintenance experience including operating and maintaining hot water boilers and heat exchangers.
• 1 year of experience with HVAC systems using computerized and digital controls.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on technical support for integrated building automation systems.
• Focus on maintenance, operation, and performance across county facilities.
• Assist commissioning activities and ensure reliable BAS operation.
• Operate County vehicle as needed for duties away from primary work site.
