Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a technically strong BAS Controls Technician to support Schneider Electric EcoStruxure/SmartStruxure and Niagara N4 in a critical facilities environment, including central utilities, chillers, and HVAC systems.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation to ensure reliability and efficiency. The role requires a HS Diploma/GED with 7+ years in BAS/Controls, 5+ years in controls programming, Niagara N4 certification, Schneider Electric training, and

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with 7+ years BAS/Controls experience in commercial, industrial, or critical facilities.
• 5+ years of controls programming, sequence development, and system integration.
• Niagara N4 certification (Technical Certification or higher).
• Schneider Electric training or OEM certifications.
• Experience with Schneider Electric BAS platforms (EcoStruxure/SmartStruxure).
• Experience with Niagara N4 including station navigation, alarms, and trending.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot BAS infrastructure using Schneider Electric controllers (EcoStruxure/SmartStruxure).
• Support and administer Niagara N4 front-end systems as supervisory overlay.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across controls, field devices, and mechanical systems.
• Support operations and optimization of chiller plants, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, VAVs, and VFDs.
• Execute preventive maintenance to improve reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
• Review trends, alarms, and data to identify anomalies and prevent failures.
• Interface with facility operations, engineers, and leadership in a high-visibility environment.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and oversee quality of external work.
