Job description

A highly established local Mechanical Company is looking to fill a Building Automation Systems Technician & Controls Engineer position. Excellent benefits, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional development.

This position works as part of a team with other specialists at client or project sites to ensure proper installation of control systems, as well as provide diagnostic and repair services. Experience working with building automation systems and energy management systems is required. Candidates should have an understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and preferably hold Niagara AX certification. Experience with Honeywell and Johnson's JCI products is also preferred.

Building Automation Systems Technicians install, repair, and maintain computer-based control systems that regulate a building's mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC and energy management systems.

Responsibilities include applying knowledge of electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, and information systems networks to control systems and environmental control equipment in various commercial and industrial buildings. The role involves interfacing with customers, architects, engineers, and contractors to install and service systems, including start-up and commissioning. Tasks include troubleshooting, updating software, calibrating, and testing HVAC systems and controls. Candidates should be familiar with environmental energy equipment such as HVAC systems, heat pumps, boilers, air handlers, chillers, lighting controls, security, fire alarm interfaces, and water leak detection.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems & HVAC Control Engineering
• High School Diploma or higher
