gpac is assisting a well-established building automation and HVAC controls contractor in the Madison area with a growth opportunity. The role involves a balanced mix of field work and programming, focusing on delivering fully commissioned systems.

Ideal candidates have hands-on BAS experience, comfort in the field and at a laptop, and a solid understanding of how HVAC systems operate. Troubleshooting and clear communication are essential, with experience on common BAS platforms a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on BAS experience with controls installations, startups, and commissioning.
• Comfortable working in the field and at a laptop.
• Strong understanding of how HVAC systems actually operate.
• Ability to troubleshoot logically and communicate clearly.
• Experience with common BAS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• BAS and HVAC controls installation, service, and programming.
• DDC systems, controllers, panels, and field devices.
• Point-to-point, startup, checkout, and commissioning.
• Troubleshooting systems in live buildings.
• Working closely with techs, PMs, and customers to dial in systems.
