Job summary

Colorado State University is seeking a Building Automation Systems specialist to develop, monitor, and improve BAS, graphics, networks, and databases across campus. You will program logic, analyze performance, and provide technical support to other technicians.

As the BAS subject matter expert, you will coordinate with subcontractors, stay updated on product training, and ensure energy-efficient operation of controls and equipment across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years' experience programming BAS systems.
• Three years' experience as a Controls or HVAC Technician.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computers and smartphones to manage work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the BAS, graphics, networks, and databases.
• Evaluate control systems to maximize performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform inspections on new installations to ensure standards.
• Coordinate and assist subcontractors for BAS and mechanical services.
• Troubleshoot BAS and related equipment across multiple platforms.
• Create and monitor BAS alarms and notifications.
• Stay up to date with product training and ongoing improvements.
