Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the design and delivery of BAS/BMS and EPMS for diverse facilities. You will blend hands-on controls software with engineering design, specifications, and system architecture development.

You’ll collaborate across disciplines, review vendor submittals, and assist testing, commissioning, and client-facing meetings while leveraging CADD and Siemens platform expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of BAS/BMS and EPMS design experience.
• Experience with system architecture, control narratives, and interfaces.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC UA and related protocols.
• Ability to communicate across disciplines and produce accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop BAS/BMS and EPMS designs for complex facilities.
• Create drawings, sequences of operation, and network diagrams.
• Write specifications and procurement documents for BAS/BMS/EPMS.
• Define system architectures and integration strategies with open interfaces.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, IT, and other disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning, and field verification.
• Attend client meetings to define scope and address technical issues.
• Assist with estimates, schedules, and scope development.
