Job summary

Mt. Bachelor is hiring bartenders across all lodge locations. You will create a fun atmosphere while maintaining safety and high level service. A current OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handler’s Card are required, with at least 2 years of high-volume bartending experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and provide outstanding service in a friendly environment.
  • Serve drinks per recipes, upsell, and make recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and register operations.
  • Open and close duties; prepare restaurant for next day business.
  • Check IDs and refuse service to intoxicated guests.
  • Keep stations clean and organized; ensure health and safety standards.
  • Observe mountain policies and perform any reasonable task assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist with events setup/breakdown and bussing tables.
  • Snow removal duties as needed.

We are hiring for Bartenders across all lodge locations
Position Summary

Mt. Bachelor Bartenders play a big role in the Food & Beverage Department’s success. There are bars located in each of our lodges and vary in size and volume, and each has its own personality that we try to match with our bartenders. Our bartenders create a fun atmosphere while still providing a safe space for guests and employees.

Major Responsibilities / Daily Essential Functions
  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the service process in a timely manner.
  • Serve all drinks according to specified recipes and be familiar with all products, up-sell items, and give recommendations according to current promotions.
  • Extensive guest interaction and requires excellent customer service skills.
  • Accurately ring in all items and adhere to department standards and accounting practices.
  • Handle cash accurately and always keep Mt. Bachelor assets safe.
  • Position required a current OLCC server's permit and is required to always follow OLCC rules and regulations.
  • OLCC permit must be carried on your person while on shift.
  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Prepare restaurant for next day business.
  • Must check identification, limit service according to time and amount being served, and refuse alcohol service to anyone visibly intoxicated.
  • Clean and sanitize service stations and keep the service stations in an orderly manner throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
  • Maintain recommended standards for health, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquors.
  • Have working knowledge of computers and POS system.
  • Notify manager, supervisor, or bar lead of inventory excess or potential shortage.
  • Accountable for accurate timekeeping.
  • Responsible for clocking in and out with employee pass.
  • Completes any reasonable task assigned by supervisor.
  • Observe mountain-wide policies found in the Employee Handbook.
Secondary Function
  • Assist management with set-up and breakdown of all special events.
  • Assist with food service and bussing tables.
  • Snow removal duties.

Extensive guest and employee interaction.

Specific Job Skills / Certifications

License/Certifications: Oregon Food Handler’s Card and OLCC permit

Technical: Must be proficient with computers and POS systems.

Physical Capabilities: Must be able to change and/or move full kegs of beer. Able to stand and move around quickly for long periods of time.

Additional: Must have a positive attitude. Flexible with hours and days of work. Able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superb customer service and problem-solving skills. Must work well under pressure.

Education / Related Experience

Minimum education required: High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum time in related position: 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume business required.

Bachelor requires the ability to shovel snow, lift up to 10 pounds, and walk on steep and uneven surfaces. While performing the duties of this role, the employee will be required to frequently bend, reach, climb, push, pull, lift over 50 pounds, and stand for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, the position will require frequent visual concentration, rapid reactions to changes, and the utilization of hand/eye coordination.

Current Hiring Rate: $16.00/hr

Minimum Age Requirement: 21+
