Job summary

Mt. Bachelor LLC is seeking Front of House Support Staff in Bend, Oregon. You will assist bartenders and servers, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a smooth service flow in a fast-paced bar and dining room environment.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about hospitality, have strong communication, and can work a flexible schedule. Physical capability to lift, stand for long periods, and move quickly is required. Training provided and team-oriented culture emphasized.

Qualifications

• OLCC certification required or in process.
• Oregon Food Handler's Card required or in process.
• Proficient with POS systems and basic cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for each shift.
• Maintain clean dining and bar areas throughout the shift.
• Know menu items, ingredients, and allergy information to advise guests.
• Ensure timely service and accurate ticket delivery from kitchen to table.

Position Summary Mt. Bachelor FOH Support Staff play a big role in the FOH’s success. The FOH Support Staff work alongside the bartenders and servers to ensure a smooth operation. Primary responsibilities are to assist with the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of the bar and dining room. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about the hospitality industry and is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced bar environment.

Major Responsibilities/ Daily Essential Functions

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the service process in a timely manner.
• Set up and break down for each shift.
• Reset tables according to the specifications of the restaurant.
• Remove plates and silverware when all guests have finished.
• Sort individual rubbish items into respective recycling receptacles.
• Sort service ware and prep for dishwasher.
• Maintain service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.
• Be familiar with all menu items, products, sides, dressings, sauces, toppings, garnishes, and most importantly, food allergies.
• Accurately prepare all orders according to the ticket.
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Be the bridge between FOH and BOH regarding food orders by communicating clearly with kitchen and wait staff.
• Perform opening and closing duties as well as rotate and keep products stocked throughout the day.
• Clean and sanitize service stations and keep them in an orderly manner throughout the shift.
• Advise Management when certain products are running low and need to be reordered.
• Have working knowledge of restaurant terms and requests for both BOH and FOH.
• Be aware of ticket times and server pickup times.
• Maintain the host stand clean and orderly throughout the shift.
• Food and beverage displays should be neat, attractive, and well organized.
• Provide guests with menus and cleaning/sanitizing them once they are returned to the host stand.
• Refill water stations and help keep guest areas properly stocked.
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff.
• Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
• Have a pleasant demeanor and work well as a team with other staff members.
• Perform all opening and closing side work as required.
• Willing to cross-train at multiple stations and support all functions as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Accountable for accurate timekeeping.
• Responsible for clocking in and out with employee pass.
• Complete any reasonable task assigned by the supervisor.
• Observe mountain-wide policies found in the Employee Handbook.

Secondary Function

• Assist management with set-up and breakdown of all special events.

Extensive guest and employee interaction.

Specific Job Skills/Certifications

• License/Certifications: OLCC and Oregon Food Handler's Card.
• Technical: Must be proficient with POS systems.
• Physical Capabilities: Must be able to change and/or move full kegs of beer. Able to stand and move around quickly for long periods of time.
• Additional: Must have a positive attitude. Flexible with hours and days of work. Able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superb customer service and problem-solving skills. Must work well under pressure.

Education/Related Experience Minimum education required: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
