Job description

Tupper and Reed - Bartender

Tupper & Reed is a craft cocktail and live music haven nestled in the heart of downtown Berkeley. The gothic-inspired former music store is home to innovative cocktails, an extensive spirits library, and exceptional staff well versed in classic and contemporary libations. If you are eager to learn and looking to play host to the myriad of locals and passersby, the bartender position at Tupper and Reed may be right for you. We are looking for persons who have experience in a bar or restaurant location and those who are interested in being part of a team. Most shifts will be schedule somewhere between 3pm and 3am.

Responsibilities

• Prep, setup, and prepare the bar for daily service
• Prioritize guest orders and strive to deliver drinks promptly and efficiently
• Take and return a variety of payment types with accuracy
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing, as necessary
• Keep work relationships professional and courteous
• Demonstrate attention to detail


Qualifications

• 3 years of bartending experience
• Experience curating unique craft cocktails is a plus
• Knowledge of various drink building techniques and styles

• Demonstrate an ability to maintain strong coworker relationships
• Flexible weekend & evening availability (Friday and Saturday shifts now with the opportunity for more shifts in the near future)

• Able to take direction and follow-through on all reasonable requests from managers
• Able to stand 8-10 hours

• Comfortable in high volume environment
