Description

We're seeking Bartenders (tipped) for our dual property hotel, where you'll provide exceptional service across two distinctive environments. Located at the Reston Town Center Metrorail Station, the AC Hotel & Residence Inn Reston opened in January 2025, featuring 267 rooms, a Rooftop Bar, a full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, over 10,000 sq ft of meeting space, an indoor heated pool, and a fitness center. You will work with our talented team to deliver exceptional events.

Position Summary

Our Bartenders expertly craft and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our bar and restaurant guests.

Essential Functions

• Craft delicious cocktails and drinks for both the bar and restaurant.
• Serve a variety of wines, draft, and bottled beers, along with food, up to hotel standards.
• Handle payments for drinks accurately, following hotel procedures.
• Attend to guests’ needs with prompt and friendly service.
• Guide guests in selecting food and beverages.
• Promote cocktail hours and special events.
• Implement alcohol awareness procedures to prevent guest intoxication.
• Prepare drinks and ensure correct pricing.
• Assist servers with bar knowledge and expertise.
• Clean, sanitize, restock, and store bar items meticulously.
• Secure all money at the end of each shift.
• Report significant issues to the supervisor.
• Serve bar menu food according to hotel standards.
• Ensure proper storage of alcohol.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar and guest areas.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Requisition alcohol and bar food as per standards.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adhere to all hotel work rules, procedures, and policies.
• Work shifts that accommodate fluctuating business demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience

• Previous bartending experience required.
