Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Bartender at SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY. Greet guests, mix drinks with garnishes, and keep the bar stocked and ready for service. Open availability is preferred for varying shifts.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 0–1 year of experience, and the ability to stand for long periods. You will be part of a team delivering friendly service and safe alcohol handling, with benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Ability to make a wide range of drink recipes and mix drinks correctly.
• Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol per local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare counts and requisitions to replenish supplies.
• Be friendly, tactful and attentive with customers.
• Walk, stand and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Workdays/shifts : Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $18 per hour - $19 per hour

What You'll Do:

• Greets guests, mixes and serves alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, and creates drink recipes with appropriate garnishes.
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
• Prepare accurate beginning counts and issue inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
• Bartenders should be friendly, tactful and attentive when working with customers.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
