Position Summary

Thirty Nine Enterprises, LLC is a subsidiary of First Americans Museum with the goal of driving the Museum’s mission within food and beverage services. The Bartender plays a key role in the operations of Thirty Nine Restaurant and catering services. The Bartender is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent impression of the restaurant by effectively waiting on guests, presenting themselves with a kind and welcoming demeanor, exercising high attention to detail and accuracy, being efficient, and being an excellent team player.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously, review specials, and menu options.
  • Expertly craft cocktails and other beverages following recipes and alcohol limits, including for guests seated at tables.
  • Accurately take drink orders and input them into the POS system.
  • Check in regularly with guests to ensure their needs are met.
  • Be knowledgeable of food menus and bar menus, answer questions, or make recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other bartenders and front-of-house staff.
  • Manage complaints or problems with a positive attitude alongside management.
  • Complete payment transactions and thank guests for visiting.
  • Maintain bar area before, during, and after shifts to ensure proper setup, efficiency, and cleanliness.
  • Clean, polish, and stock bar glassware.
  • Work with managers to keep track of liquor inventory.
  • Count cash drawers at start and end of shift; complete end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Abide by all state, federal, and local regulations, including Oklahoma ABLE liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Monitor alcohol intake by guests to prevent overserving.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience as a bartender
  • 1-2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
  • Oklahoma ABLE Bartending License required
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Supervision

The Bartender reports to the General Manager & Assistant Manager.

The Bartender must adhere to the policies and ethics of Thirty Nine Enterprises, LLC at all times and seek assistance for any matters or questions not covered by this job description.

Provide high-quality customer interactions and efficient service at 39 Restaurant. Respond promptly to the needs of the restaurant and meet commitments.
