Starting Pay Rate:$10.35/hour plus tips

Day shift available

Monday - Friday 10a-6p

The Cove is a vacation rental community on Oneida Lake, NY that offers weeklong stays embodying a lakeside lifestyle in Sylvan Beach. 70 cottages will include a private boat, a heated community pool and many other amenities. As part of this experience, the Bartender will expertly craft cocktails to meet TSRC standards and guest preferences, offering personalized drink recommendations to elevate the guest experience.

What does a Bartender do:

• Consistently demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always acknowledges guests, preferably by name.
• Ensures beer, soda, liquor, glassware and paper products are appropriately stocked in the beginning and end of each shift; as well as when leaving for scheduled breaks.
• Consistently keeps bar area clean. Cleans top of bar and polishes stainless steel on a regular basis. Properly washes all bar dishes used during assigned shift, and leaves area clean before going on break and prior to shift end. Always maintains department’s safety/sanitation standards.
• Ensures that all drinks are entered into the InfoGenesis POS System immediately upon making the cocktail. Transactions must be precise and accurate.
• Always uses FLAG protocol, the Fraud Fighter when serving alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 35.
• Consistently adheres to all TSRC policies and NYSLA Laws.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Bartender, you'll need:

• Ability to count money and make correct change.
• Ability to ring in orders and settle checks on Point of Sale system.
• Knowledge of liquor service standards, compliance laws, and responsible service techniques a plus.
• To complete and be well versed in alcohol service training. Must maintain working knowledge of acceptable forms of identification and demonstrates the ability to identify altered or false identification.
• The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
