Sally's Apizza in Stamford, CT is hiring a Front of House Bartender for part-time to full-time shifts. You will greet guests, mix and serve cocktails, and ensure a warm, efficient bar experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Mix traditional and signature/creative cocktails.
• Attend to presentation of the bar program.
• Prepare and maintain ingredients and garnishes provided in recipes.
• Ensure smooth operation of bar services in the absence of management.
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
• Process payments and manage cash drawers.
• Complete side work in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory and bar operations, coordinate daily supply inventory and orders.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
• Adhere to alcohol handling, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Comply with all beverage regulations and verify customer age.
• Contribute to daily and theme drink menus with supervisor.
• Orient new employees.

DESCRIPTION

As a bartender, you work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. We are looking for efficient individuals with exceptional customer service skills.

AS THE BARTENDER YOU WILL...

• Provide exceptional service at all times by following Sally’s Steps of Service.
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through their Sally’s experience.
• Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
• Mix traditional and signature/creative cocktails.
• Attend to the details and presentation of the bar program.
• Prepare and maintain ingredients and garnishes provided in recipes.
• Ensure smooth operation of bar services in the absence of management.
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
• Process payment from customers and maintain responsibility for cash drawers assigned at the start of each shift.
• Complete any and all side work assigned in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory and bar operations, coordinate daily supply inventory for bar and submit orders to supervisor; assist with receipt of deliveries.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
• Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation and safety procedures, maintain appropriate dating, labeling and rotation of all beverage items.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations, including verifying the identification and age requirements of customers.
• Contribute to daily, holiday and theme drink menus in collaboration with a supervisor.
• Assist in orienting new employees.
• Participate in and/or contribute to programs, committees or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and sanitation guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative/signature cocktails and understanding of unique flavor pairings.
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in operating standard beverage service equipment safely and effectively.
• Attention to detail, impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.
• Strong organizational awareness and ability to identify potential problems and opportunities.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Integrity and adherence to social and ethical standards.
• Language: English, basic Spanish preferred but not required.
• Experience: eye for detail and understanding of drink‑mixing tools and techniques.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
• Weekly pay.
