Job summary

JMOS in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an energetic Bartender/Server to join our team. You will craft beverages, engage guests, and thrive in a fast-paced setting with an hourly wage of $5 plus tips.

Responsibilities include preparing drinks, handling orders and payments via POS, maintaining a clean bar, and collaborating with staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Training & development benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer and wine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
• RAMP or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet Pennsylvania legal age requirements to serve alcohol (18+).
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs and manage stairs.

• Assist with restocking, and opening/closing duties and cleaning.
• Greet guests, present menus, and explain daily specials.
• Take orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve items from kitchen and bar to the correct tables.
• Check in: monitor tables, provide refills.
• Process payments: deliver itemized checks and handle cash/credit cards.
• Clean and reset: bus dishes, wipe tables, complete side-work tasks.

About the Role:

Requirements:

• Previous restaurant and bartending experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-volume environment
• RAMP or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet Pennsylvania legal age requirements to serve alcohol (18 yrs of age)
