Job summary

Blue Bell County Club in Center Square, PA, seeks friendly bartenders and servers for an upscale private club where exceptional guest service and meticulous care are valued.

Role includes taking orders, serving drinks and food, upselling when appropriate, and maintaining a polished bar and dining area. Weekend/evening shifts and holidays are required to support events and member needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience bartending in hospitality settings.
• Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Familiarity with POS systems and beverage handling.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take food/drink orders in a courteous manner.
• Prepare and serve drinks, suggest substitutions and wine pairings.
• Serve food to guests on the floor during service hours.
• Handle payments and maintain accurate cash/guest checks.
• Maintain clean and organized bar and dining areas throughout shifts.
• Follow SOPs and report issues to management promptly.

Applicants with experience working for first-class hospitality organizations will be strongly considered.

Job Summary

Restaurant Bartenders and Servers must be able to create a pleasant atmosphere by being attentive to our guests and have a complete knowledge of our menus and offerings. Attentive, reliable, and customer-oriented bartender with experience taking orders and interacting with customers in an unpredictable volume restaurant environment. Confident and proficient team player with excellent problem solving, decision making, and communication skills. In addition to bartending duties, you will be responsible for assisting on the floor to serve food to guests during service hours.

Bartender & Server Functions

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
• Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome
• Take customer’s food/drink orders while being polite, friendly, and helpful to guests
• Be able to suggest appropriate substitutions, wine pairings, sides, etc.
• Confirm orders accordingly to your assigned section and tables
• Replenish drinks and wine along with providing coffee/dessert services in a timely manner
• Always maintain clean tables and bar efficiently
• Cater to the guests requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service
• Handles all member charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
• Perform all assigned side work
• General clean-up (bussing of plates, glassware, silverware, etc.)
• Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct
• Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management
• Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are stocked
• Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks
• Assess customers’ food and beverage needs and preferences, and be able to make appropriate recommendations
• Mixes, prepares, and serves drinks according to the pre-approved recipes
• Processes payments/checks accurately and efficiently
• Maintains daily inventory, records of liquors, beers, and wine
• Cleans and closes up according to prescribed procedures
• Reports to the Restaurant Manager

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years' experience bartending
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Previous experience in a county club setting (preferred)
• Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
• Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
• Abide by all Laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages
• RAMP Certification
• Mandatory compliance with all security regulations, procedures, policies and rules
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance at all times
• Frequently Wash Hands for proper food handling
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
