40North Restaurants / Villa Restaurant Group in Summit, NJ is hiring a Full Service Bartender to prepare and serve beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced bar. This role requires prior bartending experience and knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment.

Compensation is hourly ($20.00–$21.00) with tips; flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected. Join a team that values clean service, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required (full-service preferred).
• Strong knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail techniques, and bar equipment.
• Excellent Guest Service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• TIPS certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards.
• Provide Exceptional Guest Service to bar guests, ensuring a memorable experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Upsell and recommend drink specials, menu items, and promotions.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Assist with opening and closing the bar as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
