Job summary

Ted's Bulletin in Reston Town Center, Reston, VA, is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our scratch-kitchen team. You will work in a fast-paced, full-service setting, delivering warm hospitality and precise drink execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or equivalent service environment.
• Stand/walk for up to 10 hours per day.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work calmly under pressure and in fast-paced service.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol; responsible alcohol service certification preferred.
• Flexible shifts, weekends, and some holidays.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.

Ted's Bulletin is well-known for Ted's tarts, boozy milkshakes and all-day breakfasts (which are all pretty great), but we're also much more than that. We run a scratch kitchen using fresh ingredients prepared onsite, offering a carefully curated menu of craveable American cuisine. We've recently enhanced our menu with the introduction of lighter fare, while retaining the classic items that our regulars have come to know and love. We're looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team. You'll have at least a year's experience at executing under pressure in a high-volume, full service environment.

Qualifications

• Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day preferred
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be of legal age to prepare, serve, and ring alcoholic beverages
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays
• Certified in (or able to be certified in) responsible alcohol service (as required by state or local law)
• High energy and stamina. Able to work within a fast-paced, highly mobile environment
• Able to perform essential functions and demonstrate competencies to company standards with reasonable accommodation
• Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location (verbal and written)
