Job summary

Compass Group USA at Ryan Field is hiring a Bartender for the Pavilion concessions to provide hospitality and beverage service during events. You will craft and serve cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, confirm guest ages, operate the POS, and help keep the bar areas stocked and clean while upholding responsible service.

You will join a team focused on guest satisfaction, safety, and efficiency in a high-energy sports venue setting near Evanston, IL.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, standards, and service procedures.
• Verify guest age and identification in accordance with state and local alcohol service regulations.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, promotions, and venue amenities to assist guests effectively.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bars, concession areas, and beverage stations throughout events.
• Restock beverages, garnishes, cups, ice, and related supplies as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing activities, including inventory counts, cash reconciliation, and cleaning procedures.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service requirements.
• Collaborate with concession staff, runners, and supervisors to ensure efficient event operations.
