Sterling Grove Golf and Country Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a part-time Bartender. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and focus on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.

Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:

1. Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
2. Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management when supplies are needed.
3. Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
4. Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
5. Performs opening and closing duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
6. Handles checks and cash transactions using the Point of Sales System.
7. Reviews banquet schedule for changes, events, and special occasions.
8. Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
9. Occasionally serves meals to guests.
10. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
11. Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED; plus one year of bartending experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Must be at least 21 years old to meet state age requirements for serving alcohol.

Other Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
2. Alcohol Awareness Training.
