Bartender
Accountability

Responsible for setting up and closing event bars, managing inventory, ordering liquor, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting guests and staff to ensure a positive experience. Building connections with customers is key: meeting new people, forming quick relationships, and leveraging these to get work done.

What To Expect
  1. Drink Preparation: Mixing and serving beverages including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits. Knowledge of recipes and recommending drinks based on customer preferences.
  2. Customer Service: Greeting guests, taking orders, engaging in friendly conversation, and ensuring a positive experience.
  3. Cash Handling: Managing payments, providing change, and reconciling cash registers.
  4. Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar area clean, organized, and stocked. Maintaining equipment and cleanliness of back-of-house areas.
  5. Knowledge of Alcoholic Beverages: Understanding different beverages, flavors, ingredients, and serving techniques.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Adhering to legal regulations, verifying age, refusing service to intoxicated individuals.
  7. Upselling and Promotion: Promoting special offers, new drinks, and food pairings.
  8. Multitasking: Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple orders, and maintaining friendliness.
  9. Bar Tools and Techniques: Using shakers, strainers, muddlers, and garnishing drinks.
  10. Conflict Resolution: Handling complaints and tense situations professionally.
  11. Foundational Skills: Organizational skills, physical stamina, adaptability.
  12. Work Responsibilities: Participating in meetings, maintaining communication, obtaining certifications.
