Post Haste is a new American cocktail bar and restaurant in the Fishtown/East Kensington area focusing on local and seasonal sourcing. Our goal is to create a world-class cocktail bar with a robust food program, reducing the typical restaurant carbon footprint by sourcing ingredients locally.

We do not import spirits, produce, citrus, or sugars, instead supporting local farmers, distillers, and makers. We have been recognized as one of the best bars in the country by Esquire and one of the 15 essential cocktail bars in Philadelphia by Eater.

We are seeking an experienced bartender/server to join our team. Candidates should have experience in a craft cocktail program in a busy environment, familiarity with restaurant service steps, and a commitment to providing a memorable guest experience.

Post Haste balances casual and fine dining, with a focus on the neighborhood and a larger national reputation. We seek team members comfortable in both worlds, knowledgeable of classic cocktails, creative, and versatile in serving and bartending.

Essential Duties

1. Complete all tasks required to open the bar and prepare for service, including garnishes and syrups.
2. Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous food and beverage service to guests.
3. Effectively communicate Post Haste's concept to guests.
4. Explain menu items and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
5. Work collaboratively with other servers and bartenders.
6. Communicate any delays, complaints, or issues to managers or shift leaders promptly.
7. Create memorable guest experiences.
8. Support and work with other team members.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma preferred.
2. 1-2 years of experience in high-volume, fine-casual, or fine-dining environments.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong team player with a good work ethic.
5. Exceptional hospitality and guest relations skills.
6. Experience with POS systems like Toast is preferred.
7. Strong knowledge of craft, classic cocktails, beer, and wine, especially local brands.
8. Experience with various cooking techniques.
9. Awareness of current industry trends.
10. Knowledge of sustainability in food and beverage.
