Bartender (Pool) - Hotel Polaris (Seasonal Part-Time)

Join us as a Bartender (Pool) - Hotel Polaris (Seasonal Part-Time) at Hotel Polaris.

Overview

Hotel Polaris is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender to enhance our guest experience and contribute to the vibrant culture of our new hotel at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Your role will be pivotal in delivering memorable guest interactions and maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Mix and serve beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and workstations.
• Follow all safety, health, and alcohol service policies, including TIPS, Food Handlers, and CPR standards.
• Manage orders using POS systems, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and ensure proper bookkeeping.
• Stock and replenish bar supplies, check IDs for alcohol service, and offer menu recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in wine, beer, and spirits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of food & beverage and bartending experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and possess valid TIPS and Food Handler’s cards upon hire.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Additional Details

Hourly wage: $12.50/hr. Application deadline: 5/15/2025 or until filled. This is a part-time, seasonal position.
