Job Summary

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
3. Maintains stock, prepares, cures, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
4. Greets guests courteously and friendly.
5. Processes drink orders; mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes; practices prudent portion control.
6. Checks guests for proper identification.
7. Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
8. Handles cash transactions, makes change, verifies charges, records transactions, and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
9. Secures beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash; secures the bank.
10. Performs cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; keeps work area organized.
11. Arranges bottles and glasses attractively in the bar area.
12. Washes and sterilizes stemware.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
