The Venue

As a new addition in our fastest-growing business vertical, Legends designed, built, and operates Sky View Observatory (“SVO”), an innovative guest experience on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center. SVO will set a new standard in the observatory experience in Seattle, offering breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views including Mt. Rainier and Bellevue.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
  • Accept guest payments and process credit card charges.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
  • Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and record them accurately into the Point of Sale system.
  • Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and attractive displays.
  • Perform all opening, closing, and cleaning procedures as indicated in the Employee Training Manual.
  • Ensure the bar area is fully equipped with necessary tools and products for beverage service.
  • Report equipment problems and maintenance issues to the F&B manager.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, promotions, and events.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including behind the bar and storage areas.
  • Provide guests with general Seattle attraction information.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Set up the bar, prepare, and serve beverages during events.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting with a craft cocktail program.
  • Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex cocktail recipes.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Knowledge of bar tools, especially for measuring alcohol using jiggers.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team during setup and service.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Ability to transport up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • MAST and Food Handler’s permits required.
