Job summary

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, a Pyramid Global Hospitality property, is seeking a motivated Bartender to deliver memorable hospitality at our bar in Lake Arrowhead, California.

You’ll greet guests, guide beverage journeys, maintain bar setups, and work with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a flawless guest experience. Strong mixology knowledge and 2–4 years of bartending experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive at the bar area.
• Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily.
• Guide guests on their beverage journey with menu descriptions.
• Take orders accurately and confirm special requests.
• Be the master of the bar with attention to detail and conversation.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Assist guests to resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Finalize the experience with timely, accurate billing and payments.
• Stock and maintain bar supplies including garnishes and perishables.

About our property

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174'. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space.

What you will have an opportunity to do

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Bartender to join our team! The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure. As a Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest's needs while preparing perfect beverages in a timely manner. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude. Your role

• Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area.
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily.
• Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu.
• Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests.
• Be the master of the bar, understanding the details to enhance the conversation.
• Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy.
• Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation.
• Requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
